We know the Malraux of Général de Gaulle, the author of La Condition Humaine, or even the art theorist. But do you know Malraux the filmmaker, the one who was censored at the beginning of the Régime de Vichy?
Through his eyes as an art theorist, this lecture offers an analysis of the film Sierra de Teruel (1940), an adaptation of the novel L'Espoir by Malraux himself, recently restored by Les Acacias and the CNC.
Step into a cinematic version of the Musée Imaginaire, bridging Malraux to Spider-Man via the hippie movement. Who knows, a metamorphosis
might happen sooner than you think?
